The NR90GR gas-powered nail delivery system is a powerful alternative to traditional pneumatic nailers. With no annoying hoses to wind, this nailer is capable of driving up to two nails per second and 1,000 nails per hour. A single battery charge will fire about 4,000 nails and a fuel rod will fire about 1,200 nails, which means you'll get the job done quicker. The NR90GR fires up to 3.5 x 0.131-inch round-head nails, whereas most of the competition falls off at 3-1/4 inches. This allows for maximum flexibility when working on various materials and applications. The adjustable depth-of-drive nose piece ensures each nail gets seated properly to suit the workpiece.

User-Friendly Design Reduces Downtime
With an easy two-step nail-loading procedure, the NR90GR will help you reduce downtime and improve efficiency. Simply slide the attached strip of nails into the magazine and release the feeder to lock the nails in place--you'll be ready to go within seconds. An E-Z view feature on the magazine prevents untimely reloads and keeps you on task.

For further ease of use, the NR90GR utilizes a six-nail lockout feature for preventing accidental dry firing of the nailer and ensuring proper loading and firing at all times. Additionally, the fuel rod door is double locked to eliminate accidental opening of the fuel-latch door during operation. A low-battery indicator gives you plenty of warning for your next recharge.

Designed for Comfort, Control, and Portability
Like all Hitachi tools, the NR90GR is ergonomically designed to enhance comfort and control on the job. To start, the nailer weighs just 7.9 pounds and features a well-balanced design that minimizes user fatigue and allows for easy one-handed operation. Additionally, the handle is wrapped in Elastomer compound to reduce vibration and prevent slippage for ultimate control. A collapsible rafter hook provides additional convenience by allowing you to hang the nailer from a rafter when both of your hands are needed.

The NR90GR doesn't require air hoses or a compressor, making it much more portable than a pneumatic nailer. Measuring just 14-1/4 x 4-1/4 x 13-29/35 inches (LxWxH), it will fit into tight spaces with ease.

The NR90GR Gas Powered Framing Nailer is backed by Hitachi's one-year warranty.

What Customers Say About Hitachi NR90GR Round Head 2-inch to 3-1/2-inch Cordless Gas Framing Nailer:

This is essential for sites without power when you can't use a gas powered compressor, or when hose management presents too much of a problem, but when conditions aren't right it can really be frustrating. The worst thing is it's much harder to press down than an air nailer, at long reaches a hammer is easier. I've only fired about 10,000 nails through it, but I bought it used and it still works fine. I'm surprised how fast I can lay down decking with this, It doesn't have a bump mode but it's about the same speed as an air nailer powered by a 120 volt compressor running nonstop. It can get finicky below 35 degrees or above 80. In cold temps, this only gets worse and sometimes it doesn't fire so you waste a lot of effort. However, this limitations aside, it can be used to complete entire projects.

I have numerouse nail guns but this is my first gas nailer, and i was pleasently surprised. very easy to use and hits the nails in exactly how deep you want it to go, the only draw back that i found was that i had a hard time buying nail strips for it(maybe only in Hawaii), i guess this nail gun uses a odd degree nail strip(20degree) but other then that once you get the nails no problem.

It fires a dozen nails and then gases up but won't fire. I would like to see a gun that holds more nails also, but for the occasional user this would be a good gun. The nails from Lowes tend to jam the gun, possibly because the Plastic is too hard. Since the Hitachi Nails I ordered from Amazon haven't shipped yet, I bought Nails from Lowes that are supposed to be compatible with this Hitachi nailer. I Bought this to replace a 20 year old Stanley Bostich air nailer. Now it never misfires. The time it takes to clear this gun is a nuisance. I'll repost a report if Amazon ever ships them.

Hitachi, of course recommends their nails.Too bad they're hard to find locally where I live. Working the Tip in and out quickly 5 or 6 times seems to clear it to fire. I've used Cordless Paslode finishing Nailers, and like not carting a compressor and hoses around. It's very comfortable to handle, lightweight, and it's depth adjustment works as consistently as any Framing nailer that I've used. I can see plastic debris from the nail strips jammed in the tip area, possibly jamming the dry-fire safety mechanism. Maybe the Hitachi Nails will be less hassle. I like the built-in rafter hook.I just bought Paslode Gas for the Nailer and swapped tips. The Hitachi Gas must have a lower combustion or octane rate.

I bought this nailer from Amazon a couple of years ago. The technician found a switch installed backwards from the factory. I have found that hard plastic collation can hold off the nails from positioning correctly. I took it in twice to have it checked, and the technician said it was tight. Much less problem with shards from the plastic too. I did notice that if it started firing, it was on a flat surface. It worked intermittently at first, and then got to where it would only partially start a nail. Since then, it fires nearly every time.

To turn it at any angle -- it would quit. One last try, I took it to a different tool repair shop and explained that it would only shoot on the flat. Hitachi nails will work almost every time because they are collated with a softer plastic. It is a good product if it has been assembled right.

I've probably shot 9-10k nails so far. I dont understand other peoples negative review's. I've even shot 3.5" shank nails in pressure treated wood. This gun works perfectly. No issues whatsoever. I've only had to replace the gas cannister 3 times, I use Paslode gas in mine. Way to go Hitachi.
